A passive mono DI for one instrument
DIPM is a single-channel passive Direct Box for bass, guitar, synths and other sources that need a balanced XLR feed to a mixer, stagebox or audio interface. The IN and THRU connections keep an amplifier in the parallel path when required.
-20 dB Pad and Ground Lift
The -20 dB Pad increases available input-level margin: declared maximum input level is +22 dBu with Pad OFF and +42 dBu with the Pad engaged. Ground Lift disconnects pin 1 of the XLR output when a specific ground loop needs to be addressed.
Passive topology, no power required
DIPM uses a passive topology based on a custom transformer and requires no power supply. An integrated EMI/RFI filter completes the signal path.
